The two-pass strategy

Why it works: a short break makes hard questions easier to read. One test-taker: 70 min pass 1 + 10 min for 15 flagged + 40 min spare.

Per-question loop

1. Read the last sentence (the ask).
2. Read the story. Kill the 2 implausible options — use strikethrough.
3. Still 50/50? Re-read the story for the tie-breaker detail.
4. Still stuck? Pick the option matching exam/answer-patterns.mdx. Flag. Move on.

OnVUE tools — use them

• Strikethrough — cross out killed options.
• Flag — marks the question; Review screen lists all flagged.
• Zoom — Cmd/Ctrl + + if text is small.

Proctoring rules (Pearson VUE OnVUE)

Before exam day:

• Install OnVUE and run the system check days early.
• Company laptops with MDM (Kandji / Iru) often fail → use a personal machine.
• No mobile hotspot. Use stable home WiFi.

Check-in (15–45 min before):

• Photos: yourself, government ID, room (4 sides).
• Desk: only laptop, charger, drink. No second monitor. No headphones. No devices.
• Windows covered or facing away from your screen.
• Show any allowed item (even gum) to the camera and say it out loud.

During:

• Camera + mic stay on. Keep head and shoulders in frame.
• Moving around too much = proctor warning.
• Phone off and out of reach.

After submit: pass/fail shows immediately. Detailed domain report follows.
